Day Trip Details

We'll begin our private day trip at the designated time by picking you up from your accommodation in Khajuraho. From here, we'll journey towards the Orchha Fort Complex.

Once we arrive, we'll first visit Jahangiri Mahal, a fort built by Raja Bir Singh Ju Deo in the 17th century. Next, we'll go to the Raja Mahal, a palace built by Madhukar Shah, which features a simple exterior adorned with chhatris and a richly decorated interior with walls painted in religious themes.

Afterwards, we'll visit the Praveen Rai Mahal, built in honor of the poet and musician Praveen Rai. This building is surrounded by the beautiful gardens of Anand Mahal and features carved niches that allow natural light to enter. Our next stop will be the Ram Raja Temple, known for its legend and towering spires.

We'll then head to the Laxmi Narayana Temple, which combines features of a fortress and a temple. Inside, we'll admire impressive murals. To conclude our visit, we'll go to Phool Bagh, a garden with a central line of fountains leading to an 8-pillared palace pavilion. Here, we'll explore the underground structure that served as a summer refuge for the Orchha kings.
