Skógar Museum Ticket
The Skógar Museum houses several open-air buildings that demonstrate how Icelanders lived in the past. During your visit, you will see houses and work tools, as well as learn about fishing, livelihoods, and leisure activities.
Your ticket provides access to the technical museum, the folk museum, and the open-air museum. You can wander through the three enclosures exhibiting different periods of Icelandic architecture, including sod-roofed houses, churches, and schools from the early 20th century.
This experience is suitable for all ages, as younger visitors can learn about Icelandic history through a large collection of artefacts, cars, and tools belonging to local families.
Opening hours
The Skógar Museum is open every day of the year during the following hours:
June to August: From 10 am to 6 pm.September to May: From 11 am to 4 pm.
Reduced fare
Retirees, individuals over 67 years old, students under 25 years old, and disabled persons are entitled to a reduction in the general ticket price. Proof or accreditation documentation is required at the ticket offices for reduced fare tickets.
