Kyaiktiyo Pagoda Day Trip

Bright and early at 6:30 am on the day of your tour, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Yangon and set off on our journey by minibus to eastern Myanmar.

After a three and a half hour drive, we'll arrive at our destination: the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda. This sacred place features a pagoda balanced atop a gold-leaf-covered boulder, recognized as one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the country, as the Golden Rock is said to rest on a strand of the Buddha's hair.

We'll take a cable car to the top to get a closer look at the impressive temple known as Golden Rock. Observe Buddhist devotees praying at the foot of the rock while experiencing the enticing incense fragrance and bright colors of the floral offerings.

You'll have free time to explore Kyaiktiyo Pagoda and dine in its vicinity before we regroup for the return journey to Yangon. You'll be dropped back off at your hotel around 7 pm.
