Damnoen Saduak Floating Market & River Kawai Day Trip

On this day trip from Bangkok, we'll visit Damnoen Saduak, Thailand's most famous floating market. We'll also see the bridge on the River Kwai and ride the Death Railway.

Day Trip Details

We'll travel west from Bangkok for 1.5 hours to reach the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Here, we'll enjoy a 30-minute boat ride through the market, observing various stalls selling vegetables, exotic fruits, and local products.

Next, we'll drive to Kanchanaburi to see the bridge on the River Kwai, known from the 1957 film about World War II events when local prisoners built the route between Thailand and Burma, referred to as the Death Railway. Part of the journey passed over the River Kwai.

A traditional Thai lunch will be served near the bridge. Afterward, we'll visit the JEATH War Museum to learn about the railway's construction between 1942 and 1943.

Following the museum, we'll head to ThamKra Sae Station for a 1.5-hour train journey along the River Kwai. The train trip will conclude at Tha Kilen Station, where transportation will return us to Bangkok.
