Ravenna's Mosaics

Ravenna, known as the city of mosaics, features the richest collection of Early Christian mosaics in the world, included in UNESCO's World Heritage sites. This ticket grants entry to the main diocesan monuments, allowing access to 3 to 5 of the following attractions: the Basilica of San Vitale, the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, the Archbishop Museum, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, or the Baptistery of Neon.

Within these sites, visitors can admire Byzantine mosaics from the 5th to 6th centuries AD and learn about the iconography and historical significance of each work, reflecting diverse cultures and religions. The mosaics also depict significant figures and events from the history of the city of Romagna, including the founding of Civita Classis visible in the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo.
