Discover the origin of the famous French delicacy with this Electric Bike Champagne Tour around Hautvillers and Mareuil-sur-Ay, two towns near Reims.
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Reims train station. From here, we'll take a minibus to Avenue du Champagne in Epernay.
We'll proceed to a country house named Le Clos Corbier, where our electric bikes will be ready. We will then embark on an electric bike tour through the surrounding vineyards to explore champagne terroirs. The tour includes a visit to the village of Hautvillers, where we will see the church where Dom Pérignon is buried, recognized as the inventor of the champagne-making process.
The electric bicycle route concludes at Le Clos Corbier, where we'll visit a family-run winery and enjoy a tasting of various champagne types. Following the tasting, a traditional French lunch will be provided, featuring local bread, cheeses, pates, quiches, and rose cookies.
After lunch, we will return to the Reims train station, concluding this 7-hour activity.
