Reims & Hautvillers Champagne Tour
- 5 Stunden
Discover the wine tradition in northern France with this Reims & Hautvillers Champagne Tour. Explore the birthplace of French champagne and taste their sparkling wines!
Description
At the designated time, we'll gather in front of the Reims train station and embark on a minibus journey to the vineyards situated on the outskirts of the city.
Our initial visit will be to a family-owned winery, where the members will guide us through the grape pressing room, providing insights into their artisanal champagne production process. Following the tour, we'll indulge in tastings of various signature sparkling wines.
After the winery visit, we'll explore the scenic vineyard landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, focusing on the terroirs that create ideal conditions for grape cultivation used in sparkling wine production.
Our next destination is the village of Hautvillers, known as a birthplace of French champagne. We will pass by the Church of Saint-Sindulphe, resting place of Dom Pérignon, and visit another family winery for a tasting session of champagne and local products.
Concluding our journey, we'll return to the Reims train station, arriving approximately four and a half hours after the start.
