Tour Overview
We will convene at the appointed hour in front of the Reims train station and begin our journey by minibus towards the vineyards located on the city’s outskirts.
Our first stop will be a charming family-run winery, where knowledgeable members will lead us through the grape pressing area, sharing their expertise on the artisanal champagne-making techniques. After this enlightening tour, we will have the pleasure of enjoying tastings of a variety of signature sparkling wines, offering a treat for the palate.
After bidding farewell to the hospitable family, we will continue our exploration through the picturesque vineyard landscapes recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we will delve into the various terroirs, specific areas that provide the perfect conditions for growing grapes used in sparkling wine production. Be sure to capture these moments with your camera!
Next, we will visit the enchanting village of Hautvillers, celebrated as one of the cradles of French champagne. On our way, we will pass by the Church of Saint-Sindulphe, the final resting place of Dom Pérignon, before arriving at another family winery for a delightful tasting of champagne and local specialties.
As our adventure comes to a close, we will return to the Reims train station, with an estimated arrival time of four and a half hours after our departure.
