If you're a fan of fishing or just fancy a day at sea, this activity is for you! Meet your guide at the scheduled time at 1 Hlésgata Street, where you'll board a fishing boat for your sea angling adventure around Reykjavik.

Set sail over Faxa Bay, where the waters have provided food for local inhabitants for centuries. Atlantic mackerel, pollock, cod, and haddock are some of the species you might find on your fishing trip from Reykjavik.

Equal parts relaxing and exciting, your fishing day will be rewarding when lunch time comes: you'll eat your catch on board the boat. The crew will cook your freshly caught fish and serve it with potatoes, homemade sauce, and water. Fresh from the sea to your plate!

If you do the tour between May and August, you'll also make a stop at Akurey Island, known as Puffin Island for its large populations of these seabirds during the summer. After birdwatching, you'll return back to the departure point after three hours of fishing off the coast of Iceland.

Do you need to know how to fish?

Everyone is welcome! Whether you're an experienced angler or it's your first time at sea with a fishing rod, you'll enjoy this activity. If you have no previous experience, the boat captain will provide lessons on the best techniques for fishing in Reykjavik.
