South Iceland Snowmobile Tour

Feel like a genuine explorer, touring southern Iceland's glaciers on a snowmobile, discovering some of the island's most incredible waterfalls, and enjoying an unforgettable day filled with adventure.

Snowmobile Tour

The tour begins at a meeting point in Reykjavik, proceeding east across the island. Participants will experience the landscapes of the Icelandic highlands, featuring glaciers and volcanoes.

The first stop is the Skógafoss waterfall, where visitors can admire its impressive drop. Next, the tour continues to Seljalandsfoss waterfall, providing the chance to walk behind the fall and appreciate the view. At both waterfalls, there will be free time to explore.

A lunch stop is included before heading to Mýrdalsjökull. At the base camp, participants will receive necessary equipment and instruction for one hour of snowmobiling. The snowmobiles are designed to be fun and easy to operate.

Afterward, an hour-long tour on the Mýrdalsjökull glacier allows for photography and exploration of the area dominated by the Katla volcano, totaling two hours on the glacier.

The return to Reykjavik is scheduled for around 7:30 PM.

Required documentation

You must have a driving licence to pilot the snowmobile.The indicated price is per person, on a shared snowmobile for two.Please wear warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking in the mountains.

Meet Points

During reservation, a list of hotels in Reykjavik will be available, showing the nearest meet point. Majority of central streets are not bus-accessible, requiring participants to reach a nearby designated "bus stop" with a number.

For instance, for a pickup at "20:30 - 1919 Hotel Radisson BLU (bus stop no 4 - Tryggvagata)," be ready at 8:30 PM at bus stop 4 (Tryggvagata). Location details will be included in the reservation confirmation.
