Waterfalls & South Coast of Iceland Tour
Following pickup from your selected meeting point in Reykjavik at the specified time, we will depart the city to explore the south coast of Iceland. The journey includes views of the lava fields at Hengill Mountain, and on clear days, sightings of Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull volcanoes as well as the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago.
Our first stop will be at Reynisfjara, a black sand beach, where we will see the Reynisdrangar basalt stacks and learn about local legends.
After enjoying the coastal scenery, we will visit the village of Vík for approximately 30 minutes of free time for lunch. Notably, this is the southernmost town in Iceland.
Next, we will visit the Skógafoss waterfall, where the river drops 60 meters, often creating rainbows in the mist.
Subsequently, we will proceed to Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where we will climb to a cave behind the falls, offering a unique view of the landscape through the cascading water.
After a full day of exploring the waterfalls and southern coast of Iceland, we will return to the original departure points in Reykjavik.
