Waterfalls & South Coast of Iceland Tour
After pickup from your selected meeting point in Reykjavik at the indicated time, we will tour the south coast of Iceland. During the journey, we will admire the lava fields at the foot of Hengill Mountain. On clear days, views of Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull volcanoes and the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago may be possible.
Our first stop will be at Reynisfjara, a black sand beach known for the Reynisdrangar basalt stacks. We will explore this unique beach filled with black stones and hear legends about trolls.
After appreciating the coastal scenery, we will head to the village of Vík, where you will have around 30 minutes of free time for lunch. Vík is the southernmost town in Iceland.
Next, we will visit Skógafoss waterfall, where the river cascades 60 meters, creating a spectacular display. You can take photos of the rainbows that often appear from the sunlight through the falling water droplets.
We will then continue to Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where we will climb until reaching the cave behind the falls. This provides a unique view of the Icelandic landscape through the water curtain.
At the end of this full day, we will return to the original departure points in Reykjavik.
Meeting points
When making your reservation, you will see a list of the majority of hotels in Reykjavik. Next to your hotel name, the nearest meeting point will be indicated. Since many streets in the center are not accessible by bus, you will need to walk to a nearby location marked as a bus stop with a number.
