Enjoy the unique experience of whale watching in the Faxaflói Bay off the coast of Reykjavik. Your speedboat will allow you to get up close to the incredible humpbacks!

Whale Watching by Speedboat

At the selected time, we'll meet at the meeting point of your choice in Reykjavik. We'll board a speedboat that will take us to Faxaflói Bay, home to the humpback whale.

During our 2-hour speedboat cruise, we'll spot humpback whales and other marine animals such as killer whales and dolphins. The number of animals seen may vary based on the time of year.

This tour is conducted aboard a 40-foot (12 metre) speedboat, allowing us to get close to the animals safely. An English-speaking guide will share details about humpback whales and the importance of protecting them.

If you join the excursion in summer, we will approach Akurey Island, known for its puffin population. As we return, we'll enjoy views of the coast of Reykjavik. Don't forget your camera!

The tour concludes at the original departure point.

Meeting points

Upon reserving, you will see a list of hotels in Reykjavik. Next to each hotel name is the nearest meeting point indicated as "Bus stop" with a number. For example, if your pick-up is at "8:30 pm - 1919 Hotel Radisson BLU (Please stand by for pickup at bus stop no 4 - Tryggvagata)", be ready at 8:30 pm at bus stop number 4. Details on the stop locations will be in the booking confirmation.
