Join us on a journey along Iceland's coast to witness whales of the North Atlantic in their natural habitat.

Activity Details

We’ll pick you up from the nearest point to your hotel in Reykjavík and head to the harbor for a boat trip across Faxaflói Bay. Enjoy views of Reykjavík from the water as we set sail into the Atlantic.

Out at sea, we’ll have the chance to spot humpback whales, with the possibility of seeing dolphins or killer whales. Keep an eye out for seabirds as well.

Marine biologists on board will provide expert commentary about these marine mammals, conservation efforts, and their importance for ocean biodiversity.

After the trip, we’ll return to Reykjavík, providing you with memories of Iceland’s natural wonders.

Meeting Points

Pickup is limited to certain hotels due to restricted access in central Reykjavík. When booking, select your hotel to see the nearest pickup point. If a "Bus stop" with a number appears next to your hotel, proceed to that stop. The following are the thirteen bus stops:

The bus will pick you up from the specified meeting point 45 minutes before the indicated start time.

Whale Sightings

Faxaflói Bay is ideal for whale watching, but sightings can vary based on ocean currents, winds, and weather conditions. The duration of the tour may also vary; however, we always prioritize respect for the whales' natural habitat.
