Discover the hidden gem of Greece at your own rhythm with a full-day excursion to Symi Island from Rhodes. Uncover its rich history, wander through picturesque streets, and connect with its fascinating mythological tales.

Day Trip to Symi Island

Your journey begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Rhodes, leading you to Mandraki Port. From here, embark on a boat ride that will transport you to Symi, a treasured island within the Dodecanese archipelago.

Upon arrival at Symi, you will enjoy an entire day free to discover the island at your leisure. Walking beside its stunning rocky shores, you will be captivated by the elegant neoclassical architecture adorning the waterfront.

Did you know that Symi is known as the birthplace of the Charites, or The Three Graces? The island’s culture is deeply intertwined with Greek mythology, and its name is derived from the nymph Syme.

Throughout your day on Symi, take the opportunity to visit Ano Symi, where you'll find the remarkable Castle of the Knights of St John. We also suggest exploring the Monastery of St Michael the Archangel, situated in one of the island's most scenic bays, and the Monastery of Sotiris Megalos in Panormitis.

After a fulfilling day of exploration, we will reconvene at the designated time at Symi port to return to Rhodes. The excursion concludes as we drop you off at your hotel around 5 PM.
