At the agreed time, we will depart from Pena Aventura Park to explore Alvão Natural Park on foot.

Alvão Natural Park, one of the major protected areas in northern Portugal, is known for its wide biodiversity. The park is home to many endemic birds and mammals such as wild cats, peregrine falcons, and Iberian wolves, which are classified as an endangered species.

During the hike, we will follow the tracks of the Iberian wolf, searching for indications of its presence in the park, such as footprints or droppings. We will explore fields of heather and broom, enjoying the natural landscape of the Alvão plain.

The tour will take us through typical landscapes of the region, walking through birch and wild pine forests, and observing birds of prey, ponds filled with amphibians and insects. We will take a short break for an energy bar when needed.

After five hours of hiking through Alvão Natural Park, we will return to the starting point, concluding the tour.
