Paul Valley Hiking Tour

At 9 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Ribeira Grande. We will then travel by minibus to Cova-Paul-Ribeira da Torre Natural Park. The hike will take us through the Paul Valley, featuring vegetation on the slopes of the Cova de Paul crater, which has a diameter of one kilometer, making it the largest crater in the archipelago. Over three hours, we will walk along the edge of this crater and observe agricultural fields.

We will make stops to admire views of the Atlantic Ocean and explore the natural formations in this area of Cape Verde. Following a zigzagging path, we will gradually descend to the lowest section of the natural park, where we will encounter vineyards and plantations of sugar cane, banana, mango, avocado, and coconut. This will conclude our hiking route through the valley.

Before returning to your hotel, we will stop at a rum distillery to taste the traditional Santo Antão rum, grogue. The excursion will conclude around 2 pm.
