Paul Valley Hiking Tour

At 9 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Ribeira Grande. From there, we will travel in a comfortable minibus to Cova-Paul-Ribeira da Torre Natural Park. During the tour, we will hike through the renowned Paul Valley, known for its vegetation on the slopes of the Cova de Paul crater, which has a diameter of one kilometer, making it the largest crater in the archipelago.

Over three hours, we will walk along the edge of this crater while observing the agricultural fields in the area. We will make stops to appreciate views of the Atlantic Ocean and the natural formations in this part of Cape Verde. Following a zigzagging path, we will gradually descend to the lowest part of the natural park, where we will encounter vineyards, sugar cane, banana, mango, avocado, and coconut plantations.

Before returning to your hotel, we will visit a rum distillery to taste the traditional Santo Antão rum, grogue. The excursion concludes around 2 pm.
