Pinhao, Lombo Branco & Sinagoga Hike

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Ribeira Grande at the designated time and head to Pinhao, the start of our hiking route.

Walking at nearly 2,000 feet above sea level, we'll explore the diverse vegetation of island of Santo Antão. The route includes crossing streams and climbing hills, offering views of the green valleys. We will make stops to share stories about the island's towns.

One notable town is Lombo Branco, where you can see local farmers and a variety of plants, as well as animals like cows, goats, horses, and donkeys.

In the final stretch, we will reach Sinagoga, which was home to a Jewish community expelled from Portugal. Sinagoga is also known for its natural pools, where, weather permitting, you can enjoy a swim in the crystal clear waters.

After the hike, we will return to your hotel, concluding the excursion after a total of 4 hours.
