Santo Antão Island Day Trip
At 9 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Santo Antão for a private tour of the island. First, we will visit the Cova de Paul, the largest crater in the archipelago with a diameter of 1 kilometer, followed by a viewpoint for panoramic views. Next, we will go to the Delgadinho mountain ridge and make a brief stop in the village of Povoacão.
We will continue to the northern tip of the island to visit the viewpoint of Ponta do Sol, offering views of the Pacific Ocean and interactions with local fishermen. The next stop will be in Fontainhas, recognized as one of the 10 villages with the most beautiful views in the world, where you can taste local cuisine.
We will proceed to the green valley of Paul and later visit a distillery to learn about the preparation of grogue, Santo Antão's traditional rum. The tour concludes with a visit to the old Jewish village of Sinagoga, and you will be taken back to your hotel by 4 pm.
Distillery Availability
The distillery is only open from 1st January to 31st May. If you book the tour outside these dates, this part will be skipped and the tour will be shorter.
