Santo Antão Island Day Trip
At 9 am, we’ll pick you up at your hotel in Santo Antão for a private tour of this island. First, we’ll go to Cova de Paul, the largest crater of the archipelago, with a diameter of 1 kilometer. We’ll stop at a viewpoint for panoramic views and then head to the Delgadinho mountain ridge.
After a brief stop in the village of Povoacão, we’ll continue to the northern tip of the island, visiting the viewpoint of Ponta do Sol for views of the Pacific Ocean, where you can meet local fishermen to learn about their traditions.
Next, we’ll stop in Fontainhas, noted for its stunning views, with an opportunity to taste local cuisine. Our tour continues to the green valley of Paul, recognized as one of the most beautiful locations in Cape Verde.
We’ll visit a distillery to learn about the preparation of grogue, the traditional rum of Santo Antão. Finally, we’ll visit the old Jewish village of Sinagoga, and at 4 pm, you’ll be returned to your hotel.
