Description

On the day of the activity, we will meet at the scheduled time in front of the Riga Cathedral. We will then depart Riga and travel through the Latvian landscape. Upon entering Lithuania, we will pause at the border for photographs. At the Hill of Crosses, our guide will share the history and significance of this site, adorned with thousands of crosses representing prayers and resilience.

The site holds historical importance for both locals and international visitors, filled with metal and wood crosses symbolizing the devotion of pilgrims. Following our visit, we will return to Latvia to explore the Rund?le Palace, where we will discover its opulent interior and learn about 18th-century life from our expert guide.

We will visit the French-style gardens and remarkable rooms, including the State Rooms, Golden Salon, and the Grand Gallery. After some free time for lunch at a nearby restaurant, we will head to Bauska Castle, where we will ascend the renovated tower for panoramic views.

This medieval fortification offers one of the day's most special views. Following a tour of the castle's interior, we will conclude our 8-hour tour back in Riga.
