Day Trip Details

We will pick you up from your hotel in Riga at the designated time and head to Cesis, the third oldest city in Latvia.

Upon arrival, we will begin a guided walking tour to explore the medieval city. We will walk through the old town of Cesis, which is well-preserved after over 800 years. The tour will include key places of interest such as Roze Square, the Princess's House, and St. John's Church.

Next, we will visit Cesis Castle, a medieval fortress rich in history. We will go inside to experience a candlelit climb up its towers. The views from the top will be impressive.

After the castle tour, you will have an hour of free time for lunch at a local restaurant. We will regroup to connect with the nature surrounding Cesis and embark on a 6-kilometre hiking route to admire the red sandstone cliffs of the Gauja River valley.

Finally, we will return to Riga, concluding the excursion after a total of 8 hours.
