Sigulda Day Trip
History, culture, and winter sports await on this Sigulda Day Trip from Riga. Explore historic castles, discover a cave, and learn about bobsledding in the Latvian countryside.
At the designated time, we'll meet at Gr?cinieku iela, number 18, and head to Sigulda, known for its castles, caves, and winter sports. We'll visit the Keizarskats viewpoint for landscape views, followed by the Sigulda bobsleigh track to learn about this Olympic sport.
After this winter sports experience, we'll continue to explore Sigulda. We will visit Sigulda Castle and delve into its history while enjoying views of the Gauja River.
Next, we'll proceed to Gutman's Cave, one of the most famous caves in the country, and then to the medieval Castle of Turaida, whose history is notable. Lastly, we'll visit Dainu Hill, home to 25 sculptures dedicated to Latvian folksongs.
We will finish our day trip after a total of 5 hours at the meeting point.
