Day Trip to Lipica Horse Farm & Škocjan Caves

Your adventure begins at 9 am with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Rijeka. We will set off in a northwestern direction for approximately an hour and a half, leading us to Lipica.

Upon arrival at this notable Slovenian locale, our first destination will be a Lipizzaner horse farm. Here, you'll have the opportunity to delve into the heritage of one of Slovenia's cherished symbols. These distinguished horses are celebrated worldwide, even earning a place on the nation’s currency! As you tour the premises, you will gain insights into the traits of these elegant creatures commonly seen in dressage.

Throughout your visit, you will have access to the stables, the chance to interact with the horses, and explore the Lipikum Museum, an excellent resource for learning more about this unique equine breed. If you wish, you can also enjoy a captivating dressage performance during your time at the farm.

Following the Lipica experience, we will depart for the Škocjan caves, recognized as one of Slovenia’s key natural attractions. Prepare to be amazed as we enter these subterranean wonders sculpted by the Reka River, where you can admire the impressive formations of stalactites and stalagmites as well as the remarkable lakes that have emerged over centuries.

Eventually, we will cross back into Croatia, returning you to your hotel in Rijeka, with an expected arrival time of around 5 pm.
