Lipica Horse Farm & Škocjan Caves Day Trip

The day trip to Lipica and the Škocjan caves begins at 9 am, with hotel pickup in Rijeka. The drive northwest lasts approximately an hour and a half to reach Lipica.

Upon arrival, visit a Lipizzaner horse farm, home to one of Slovenia's treasures. These horses are so significant that they feature on one of Slovenia's coins. The farm tour includes information about their characteristics used in dressage.

During the visit, you can visit the stables, pet the horses, and access the Lipikum Museum to learn about this breed. Attendance at a dressage show is also available if desired.

After the horse farm, proceed to the Škocjan caves, an important natural site. Explore these caves formed by the Reka River and observe the giant stalactites & stalagmites and lakes that have developed over centuries.

Return across the border to Croatia, arriving back at your hotel in Rijeka around 5 pm.
