On this guided tour of Rimini, you'll discover the city and its Roman heritage by visiting its main monuments.
Tour Details
We’ll meet at the designated time at Corso d'Augusto, 152, near the Visitor Center, to begin our tour.
The first stop will be the Roman Ponte di Tiberio. Following that, we'll visit Piazza Cavour to admire the exterior of Palazzo dell'Arengo, Palazzo del Podestà, and Palazzo Garampi.
Next, we'll go to the Old Fish Market of Rimini, constructed in the mid-18th century. From there, we will head to Piazza dei Sogni, where Castel Sismondo, home to the Fellini Museum, is located.
After that, we'll cross Piazza Tre Martiri, the site of the ancient Roman forum, where Julius Caesar reportedly said "Alea iacta est" ("The die is cast") related to the Rubicon crossing.
Continuing, we'll visit Tempio Malatestiano, Rimini's main Catholic church, viewed from the outside, and lastly we’ll pass by the Arch of Augustus, the city entrance.
After a 1-hour and 45-minute guided tour, we will conclude the activity.
Additional Info
We recommend arriving at the meeting point early to enjoy the multimedia and interactive tour the Visitor Center offers, providing a useful introduction to Roman Rimini.
