Pick-up at 9 am from your hotel for a 1.5-hour drive to Petrópolis. First stop: the Quintandinha Palace. Next, visit the Imperial Museum for a one-hour tour of the former summer residence of Emperor Pedro II. Other stops include the Petropolis House (available from Wednesday to Sunday only), the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Bohemian Brewery for food and traditional beers. Visit the Santos Dumon House Museum to learn about the inventor of the aeroplane and conclude with a visit to a local chocolate factory for tastings. Return to your hotel around 5 pm.
