Coclé Cultural Tour + El Caño Archaeological Park

On this Coclé cultural tour, we'll explore the province by visiting its artisan centre and the El Caño archaeological park.

Description

At the scheduled time, pickup will be at your chosen meeting point as we depart from the Riviera Pacifica to explore the province of Coclé.

The first stop will be El Caño archaeological park, where we will see remains of Precolombian cemeteries dating back to the year 700. We will learn about the historical and cultural significance of the region.

Following an hour at the archaeological site, we'll visit La Pintada town for a tour of a tobacco factory and an artisan centre specializing in traditional Panama painted hats. This hat-making technique is recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Next, we'll proceed to Penonomé, the capital of Coclé, taking a panoramic route for about 1 hour. This will include views of notable monuments, such as the San Juan Bautista Cathedral, from the late 16th century.

Our tour will conclude in Antón for photo opportunities before returning to the original pickup point after 6 hours of activities.
