On this tour to Cafayate from Termas de Rio Hondo, we will explore various landscapes in northern Argentina.

Pickup begins at 5 am at your hotel in Termas de Río Hondo, after which we will head north to Cafayate and its surroundings.

We will leave the Santiago del Estero region and enter the territory of Tucumán. Our journey includes crossing the Tucumán jungle to reach the Angostura dam, and then proceeding to the Abra del Infernillo pass, reaching an altitude of 3042 metres.

We will continue through the Calchaquí valleys and stop at the Pachamama Museum in Amaicha del Valle to view the work of sculptor Héctor Cruz, who reflects the region's culture.

Our next stop will be the archaeological site of Quilmes, a significant pre-Columbian area in northern Argentina, where we will learn about this ancient settlement before entering the province of Salta to visit Cafayate.

Upon arrival, a guided tour of Cafayate will showcase its main monuments, including the cathedral of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, one of three churches in South America with five naves. We will also visit the Vasija Secreta winery to learn about Calchaquí wine production.

Following this, you will have one hour for lunch in Cafayate, and we will begin our return trip, arriving at your hotel in Termas de Río Hondo by 8 pm.
