On this boat trip through the Aysén region we'll sail through the marble caves of Puerto Sánchez and the cathedral and marble chapel of Puerto Tranquilo.
Puerto Sanchez & Puerto Tranquilo Marble Caves Boat Trip
At a time of your choice, we'll meet at the pier of Puerto Tranquilo and start a boat trip on Lake General Carrera. We'll first sail to the shores of the Panichini islet, where we'll stop to see the old ships that are stranded in the bay. Then, we'll head to the marble caverns of Puerto Sánchez, notable for their blue and grey tones.
We’ll explore some of these calcium carbonate caves featuring marble walls, and observe a large colony of Andean condors in the area. Continuing through Chilean Patagonia, we'll reach Puerto Tranquilo to view its renowned marble caves, part of a National Monument of Chile and Nature Sanctuary.
The tour continues through the marble tunnel, concluding next to the notable islets of the cathedral and the marble chapel, distinguished by their unique shapes. The boat ride lasts two hours and 45 minutes before returning to Puerto Tranquilo.
