On this boat trip through the Aysén region, we'll sail through the marble caves of Puerto Sánchez and the cathedral and marble chapel of Puerto Tranquilo.
Puerto Sanchez & Puerto Tranquilo Marble Caves Boat Trip
At a time of your choice, we'll meet at the pier of Puerto Tranquilo to start a boat trip on Lake General Carrera.
We'll first sail to the shores of the Panichini islet, stopping to admire the old ships stranded in the bay. Next, we’ll head to the marble caverns of Puerto Sánchez, known for their intense blue and grey tones.
We’ll enter some of the calcium carbonate caves to view their impressive marble walls. In this area, we’ll also see a large colony of Andean condors.
Continuing through the Chilean Patagonia, we’ll reach Puerto Tranquilo to observe its marble caves, part of a location declared a National Monument of Chile. Upon arrival, the beauty will be evident.
The journey includes passing through the marble tunnel. As the final highlight, we’ll sail beside the cathedral and marble chapel islets, noted for their distinct shapes.
After a two-hour and 45-minute boat ride, we’ll conclude by returning to Puerto Tranquilo.
