Puerto Tranquilo Marble Caves Boat Trip

  • 2 Stunden

The caves, cathedral and marble chapel of Puerto Tranquilo are part of an impressive Chilean natural sanctuary that we'll discover on this boat trip.

Puerto Tranquilo Marble Caves Boat Trip

At a time of your choice, we'll set sail from the dock of Puerto Tranquilo to navigate the western part of the General Carrera Lake, located in the Chilean region of Aysén.

This boat trip includes exploring the marble caves along the shore of Puerto Tranquilo. You'll observe how greyish and bluish tones merge within these lake caves, part of a protected area designated a National Monument of Chile in 1994 as a Nature Sanctuary.

We'll sail along 500 metres (1640 feet) of caves, entering to observe the marble ceilings. Our journey continues to the marble tunnel, where we'll stop to appreciate this whitish calcium carbonate cavity.

Next, we’ll head towards the islets of the cathedral and the marble chapel of Puerto Tranquilo, two notable geological formations of Aysén. After an hour and a half of sailing, we will conclude the boat trip at the departure pier.
