Birdwatching in Rio Lagartos
We'll meet at the indicated time at the Río Lagartos boardwalk, where we'll board a boat to navigate through the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve. This area is known for its ornithological richness. During the trip, we'll see the famous flamingos of Rio Lagartos. We will explain the reason for their pinkish color during the tour!
As we sail, we'll observe other native birds of the Yucatan, including pelicans, herons, and American eagles. There is also a chance to see crocodiles in the mangroves.
Lastly, we'll visit the beach of Río Lagartos to appreciate its emerald-green waters. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours, concluding back at the departure pier.

The tour runs between 7 am and 10 am, as this is when the birds are most observable. The exact time of departure will be communicated in advance.
