Birdwatching in Rio Lagartos
We will meet at the designated time at the Río Lagartos boardwalk, where we will board a boat to navigate through the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve. This protected area is rich in birdlife and is one of the environmental treasures of the northern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. During the trip, we will see the famous flamingos of Rio Lagartos and learn about their distinctive pink color.
As we sail, we may also spot other native birds such as pelicans, herons, and large American eagles, along with crocodiles in the mangroves. We will conclude the tour at the beach of Río Lagartos to take in its emerald-green waters. The total duration of the trip will be 1.5 hours, ending back at the departure pier.

The tour is scheduled between 7 am and 10 am, the ideal time for bird visibility in the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve. The exact time of departure will be communicated in advance.
