Join us and discover one of the most unique landscapes in Mexico on this panoramic tour of Las Coloradas. We'll see the incredible pink-coloured salt flats!

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Las Coloradas Tourist Park to begin this panoramic tour. Through the tour, we'll discover the charms of this small fishing port located on the northern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula.

We'll begin the tour by hopping into our vehicle at the Las Coloradas Natural Park. This park contains a wetland full of wide-ranging biodiversity and is categorised as a Biosphere Reserve, indicating areas of great importance and ecological preservation.

We'll tour around these lagoons as we're informed about their peculiarities. Their salt production results in a perfect habitat for many aquatic birds, allowing them to seek shelter, feed, reproduce, and breed. If we're lucky, we might see a Caribbean Pink Flamingo.

Following this, we'll take a tour of the heart of the biggest salt plant in Mexico, where we'll appreciate the production process of sea salt through evaporation, the formation of salt crystals, and how it's stored in huge mounds.

Before returning, we'll have time to take some photos of the pink waters of Las Coloradas. Finally, we'll conclude back at the meeting point after approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
