Mangroves Night Cruise

On this night cruise through the mangroves of Ria Lagartos, we will observe various nocturnal animals that inhabit the northern coast of the Yucatan.

Description

We will meet at the scheduled time at the Rio Lagartos boardwalk and embark on our cruise through the mangroves in this region of the northern Yucatan.

Guided by the starry skies, we will head to the estuary of Ria Lagartos, a large protected area designated as a Biosphere Reserve. This area is home to numerous nocturnal animals contributing to the biodiversity of this ecosystem.

While sailing, we may encounter crocodiles swimming among the mangroves, which typically hunt during these hours.

We will also take the opportunity to stargaze, as this region experiences minimal light pollution, allowing for impressive views of the night sky without telescopes.

The night cruise will conclude after 1.5 hours at the pier from which we departed.
