Mangroves Night Cruise

On this night cruise through the mangroves of Ria Lagartos, we will see some of the nocturnal animals that inhabit the northern coast of the Yucatan.

Description

We will meet at the designated time at the Rio Lagartos boardwalk to embark on our cruise through the mangroves of this area on the northern coast of Yucatan.

Guided by the light of the starry skies, we will make our way to the estuary of Ria Lagartos, which is a large protected area declared a Biosphere Reserve, home to numerous nocturnal animals and part of this ecosystem's biodiversity.

As we sail, we may encounter crocodiles swimming among the mangroves, which generally hunt during these hours.

Along the way, we will also take the opportunity for stargazing. This area of Yucatan has almost no light pollution, providing amazing views of the night sky without the need for telescopes.

Finally, after a total duration of 1.5 hours, we will conclude this night cruise at the pier from which we departed.
