Ride through the foothills of the Ecuadorian Andes on our Chimborazo Volcano Bike Tour. We'll leave Riobamba behind for an adventure.

Chimborazo Volcano Bike Tour

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Riobamba and take you to the Hermanos Carrel mountain lodge, located at 5,900 feet (1,800 metres). Upon arrival, we'll provide a bag with a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and juice for your halfway refreshment.

We'll take a short walk to a second refuge to see the Condorcocha Lagoon, which is at 16,732 feet (5,100 metres). Afterward, we will return to the Hermanos Carrel camp to begin the cycling tour of the Chimborazo Volcano.

This 23-mile (38-kilometre) route starts in a dry paramo area, allowing for observations of vicuñas, curiquingues, and stellate hummingbirds, as well as flora like ñáchag, romerillo, and ashpachocho, all with views of the Central Andes.

Additionally, we will cross winding rural goat trails called chaquiñanes and cycle through a colossal gorge with green meadows until we reach the village of San Juan, marking the end of our cycling experience.

The tour will conclude as we return to your hotel in Riobamba at 5 pm.
