Ride through the foothills of the Ecuadorian Andes and zigzag along winding paths on our Chimborazo Volcano Bike Tour. We'll leave Riobamba behind and set off on an incredible adventure.

Chimborazo Volcano Bike Tour

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Riobamba and take you to the Hermanos Carrel mountain lodge, located at an altitude of 5,900 feet (1,800 metres). A bag with a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and some juice will be provided for consumption at the halfway point.

We will take a short walk to a second refuge to see the Condorcocha Lagoon, which sits at an elevation of 16,732 feet (5,100 metres). Afterwards, we'll head back down to the Hermanos Carrel camp to begin the cycling tour of the Chimborazo Volcano.

This 23-mile (38-kilometre) route starts in a dry paramo area, where you may observe herds of vicuñas, curiquingues, and stellate hummingbirds. You will see plants such as ñáchag, romerillo, and ashpachocho while taking in views of the Central Andes. Additionally, we'll cross winding rural goat trails called chaquiñanes and cycle through a colossal gorge with green meadows until we reach the village of San Juan, where our cycling experience concludes.

Our tour will finish as we arrive back at your hotel in Riobamba at 5 pm.
