At 8:00 am, we’ll pick you up at your hotel in Riobamba and head towards the Chimborazo volcano.

On the way, we'll stop at various viewpoints of the snow-capped mountain for photographs and to enjoy the scenery. At around 11:30 am, we'll arrive at the first refuge of Chimborazo, which is at 15748 feet (4800 meters) above sea level.

From this point, we'll start a 0.6-mile (1 kilometer) walk to the Cóndor Cocha lagoon, located at 16732 feet (5100 meters) above sea level. We'll also pass the second refuge of Chimborazo, the Whymper, at 5000 meters during this approximately two and a half hour hike.

After visiting Chimborazo, we’ll proceed to the impressive cliff of La Chorrera, located at 13123 feet (4000 meters) above sea level. At 2:00 pm, we'll head to the area of San Juan for a traditional lunch including chicken fillet with rice and salad, barley rice soup or quinoa, and seasonal fruit juice.

Finally, after lunch, we'll return to your hotel in Riobamba, arriving at 4:00 pm.
