At 8:00 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Riobamba and head towards the Chimborazo volcano.

On the way, we’ll make several stops at points with views of the snow-capped mountain for photographs and to enjoy the scenery. At around 11:30 am, we'll arrive at the first refuge of Chimborazo, located at 15,748 feet (4,800 meters) above sea level.

From this point, we'll start a 0.6-mile (1 kilometer) walk to the Cóndor Cocha lagoon, located at 16,732 feet (5,100 meters) above sea level. We'll pass the second refuge, the Whymper, at 5,000 meters. This hike will take approximately two and a half hours.

After the visit to Chimborazo, we'll go to the impressive cliff of La Chorrera at 13,123 feet (4,000 meters) above sea level. This stretch will build an appetite, so at 2:00 pm, we'll head to San Juan for a traditional lunch of chicken fillet with rice and salad, barley rice soup or quinoa, and seasonal fruit juice.

After lunch, we'll return to your hotel in Riobamba, arriving at 4:00 pm.
