Horse Riding Activity at the Chimborazo Volcano

This activity starts with a hotel pickup in Riobamba at the designated time, followed by a trip to the foothills of the Chimborazo Volcano. Participants will embark on a 3-hour horse ride at an altitude of 4,100 meters (13,451 feet).

The ride will traverse trails featuring endemic plant life, including the almohadilla, ashpachocho, climber's flower, and caballochupa, along with sightings of the Andean vicuñas, a high mountain camelid species.

A break will be taken around 2:30 pm for refreshments, which include a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and juice. During this time, participants can enjoy the views of Chimborazo and Carihuairazo, part of the western range of the Andes.

The journey continues to the Cóndor Samana Waterfall, a 131-foot (40-meter) waterfall formed by melting glaciers, known for its therapeutic water properties.

After the excursion, participants will return to Riobamba, with arrival at the hotel scheduled for 5 pm.
