Horse Riding Activity at the Chimborazo Volcano

After picking you up from your hotel in Riobamba at the designated time, we will proceed to the foothills of the Chimborazo Volcano. Upon arrival at the refuge, we'll begin our 3-hour horse ride at an altitude of 4,100 meters (13,451 feet).

We will traverse trails rich in plant life endemic to the area, including the almohadilla, ashpachocho, climber's flower, and caballochupa. Participants may also encounter the Andean vicuñas, a high mountain camelid species.

At approximately 2:30 pm, a break will be taken for a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and juice. During the break, participants can enjoy views of Chimborazo and Carihuairazo, part of the western range of the Andes.

Following the break, we will continue our horseback journey to the Cóndor Samana Waterfall, which drops 131 feet (40 meters) and is fed by nearby melting glaciers, rumored to have therapeutic properties.

Finally, we will conclude our activity and return to Riobamba, with an expected arrival at your hotel around 5 pm.
