With this guided tour of Riobamba, you'll take a trip back to the 20th century to unravel the historical events that marked a before and after in the capital of the province of Chimborazo.

Description

We'll meet at Sucre Park at the designated time to kick off an engaging guided walking tour of Riobamba. As we explore, we'll come across notable landmarks and learn about the city's history.

Our first stop will be the León Theater, known as one of Ecuador's exquisite theaters. Inside, we'll have the opportunity to tour and appreciate its architecture.

Next, we'll visit the Ecuadorian Post Office, an Italian-inspired building designed by architects Natale and Luca Tormen. Inside, we'll learn about the significance of postal communication in Ecuador from the 1950s to the 1970s.

Before concluding the tour, we'll explore the Casa Museo of Riobamba and stroll to Maldonado Park. Here, we'll discuss the life and discoveries of Pedro Vicente Maldonado Palomino y Flores, a prominent scientist from Riobamba.

We will end the tour with a visit to one of Riobamba's beloved traditional ice cream shops, where we'll enjoy a delicious complimentary ice cream before concluding our adventure after 4 hours of exploring.
