Riobamba Guided Tour

With this guided tour of Riobamba, you'll explore significant historical events in the capital of the province of Chimborazo.

Description

We'll meet at Sucre Park at the designated time to begin a guided walking tour of Riobamba, encountering notable landmarks and learning about the city's history.

Our first stop will be the León Theater, known for its exquisite architecture. We will take a tour inside to appreciate its design.

Next, we'll visit the Ecuadorian Post Office building, an Italian-inspired structure designed by architects Natale and Luca Tormen. Inside, we will explore the importance of postal communication in Ecuador from the 1950s to the 1970s.

Before concluding the tour, we'll visit the Casa Museo of Riobamba and stroll to Maldonado Park. Here, we will learn about the life and contributions of Pedro Vicente Maldonado Palomino y Flores, a key scientist from Riobamba.

We will finish the tour with a visit to one of Riobamba's popular traditional ice cream shops, where we will enjoy a complimentary ice cream. The tour will last 4 hours.
