La Guajira Desert 7-Day Tour

Manaure, Cabo de la Vela, Punta Gallinas and Nazareth are the main destinations of this 7-day tour through the best of the La Guajira desert!

Description

Day 1: Riohacha - Manaure - Wayúu ranch

At 8:00 am, pick-up at your chosen meeting point in Riohacha and transfer to the beaches of Manaure. Enjoy lunch with fish and seafood. In the afternoon, visit a ranch to learn about the Wayúu culture, including their homes, clothing, and natural medicine. Participate in creating Wayúu handicrafts. The day concludes with a bonfire on the beach and dinner at the Manaure accommodation.

Day 2: Manaure - Los Flamencos Sanctuary - 'Ruta de la Sal'

After breakfast, visit the salt piles of Manaure. Lunch and rest follow before exploring the salt factory complex. Next, visit the Los Flamencos Sanctuary and participate in the Ruta de la Sal with a salt massage. Conclude your day with dinner at your Manaure accommodation.

Day 3: Manaure - Cabo de la Vela

Depart at 8 am for Cabo de la Vela, passing through Uribia. After lunch, enjoy Pilón de Azúcar beach and climb for views of the desert. Dinner is at the accommodation in Cabo de la Vela.

Day 4: Cabo de la Vela - Punta Gallinas

Breakfast followed by travel to Punta Gallinas, stopping at the Jepirachi wind farm. After a lunch break, visit the Taroa dunes and the lighthouse of Punta Gallinas for sunset. Dinner at the Punta Gallinas accommodation.

Day 5: Punta Gallinas - Nazareth

After breakfast, enjoy Taroa Beach and continue to Nazareth for lunch. Explore the Macuira Natural National Park in the afternoon. Dinner is served at your accommodation in Punta Gallinas.

Day 6: Nazareth

After breakfast, explore Nazareth’s lush vegetation and waterfalls. Lunch will be provided before concluding your day with dinner and rest at the Nazareth accommodation.

Day 7: Nazareth - Riohacha

On the last day, enjoy breakfast in Nazareth and return to the meeting point in Riohacha.
