Spot pink flamingos in their natural habitat and learn about salt production in Colombia on our day trip to the Manaure Salt Flats and the Los Flamencos Flora and Fauna Sanctuary.

Manaure Salt Flats & Los Flamencos Flora and Fauna Sanctuary Day Trip

We will pick you up from your chosen meeting point in Riohacha and set off on our day trip, spending 1 hour driving to the Manaure Salt Flats.

This area is referred to as the "white bride of Colombia." You will learn about the reasons for this while admiring the large salt piles and observing the industrial and artisanal ponds and pools of pink water used for salt production.

We will take a break at a restaurant for lunch, where you can choose a dish with fish, chicken, beef, or salad.

After lunch, we'll visit the Los Flamencos Flora and Fauna Sanctuary, walking along trails to observe the variety of birds that make this reserve famous. This sanctuary is among the richest protected areas for aquatic birds.

You will see birds in various parts of the sanctuary, including mangroves, tropical dry forest, coastal lagoons, and desert areas.

After 7 hours of exploring, we will return to your starting point in Riohacha and conclude the tour.
