During this tour to a Wayuu farm, you will gain insight into the traditions and cultural practices of the indigenous Wayuu community residing in La Guajira, Colombia.

At the appointed time, we will convene at the designated meeting location in Riohacha and proceed to one of the farms in La Guajira to interact with the Wayuu people.

The Wayuu are an indigenous group indigenous to Colombia and Venezuela, known for their matriarchal society that thrives in various rancherias or farms across the La Guajira peninsula. Renowned for their hospitality, they will gladly demonstrate aspects of their communal life, focusing particularly on their livestock and handicraft skills.

After about 45 minutes of travel, we will reach the Jipialu farm, where you will have the opportunity to meet the community members and explore their rich heritage and lifestyle. This visit offers a chance to appreciate their exquisite handicrafts, including chinchorros (similar to hammocks) and intricately woven bags and backpacks. It's also a wonderful occasion to find some authentic souvenirs.

We'll conclude this enriching experience with a sample of traditional Wayuu cuisine, potentially a bun or stuffed arepa. This delicious dish features goat meat, fried and prepared over an open flame.

After immersing ourselves in the Wayuu ranch's culture, we will return to the meeting point in Riohacha approximately four and a half hours after pickup.
