Set off on a walking guided tour of Rome and discover some of its iconic landmarks, such as the Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna, and Piazza Navona.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Piazza Barberini to begin a walking tour through some of the most important squares of Rome's historic center.
After admiring the Bernini fountains in Piazza Barberini, we'll make a stop at Quirinale Hill and then head to the Fontana di Trevi, one of the most famous monuments. We'll discuss the origins of this colossal fountain, built by Nicola Salvi and Giuseppe Pannini, and its symbolism.
Our tour continues on foot as we admire historically significant buildings, such as the 17th-century Palazzo Odescalchi, the church of Santa Maria di Loreto, and the monument to Victor Emmanuel II.
We'll visit the Piazza del Campidoglio, designed by Michelangelo, to learn about the renovations it has undergone. The tour concludes at Marcelo Theater and finishes at Piazza Mattei, home to the Fountain of the Turtles, after 2.5 hours of cultural immersion.
