Meet at the designated time next to Cancelliere Caffé to set off into the underground darkness of the Appian Way and Caffarella.

Considered one of Rome's largest underground systems, this labyrinth extends from the Aurelian Roman Wall to Via dell’Almone. Explore the historic quarry used for extracting construction materials to gain insight into the foundational elements of Rome's construction.

Visit a site once used for ancient mushroom cultivation, leading to the tour's main event: the catacombs of Rome, showcasing how this space has been repurposed over time.

Continue with a visit to the recently reconstructed Mithraeum beneath the Appian Way, associated with the cult of Mithras.

Ending at street level, the tour will conclude with a wine tasting, reflecting the style of first-century Roman gastronomist Marcus Gavius Apicius, after 2 hours of exploration.
