Tabernas Desert & Fort Bravo Tour

We'll meet at the indicated time on Calle Chillida to set off on a 40-minute bus journey to the town of Tabernas. Upon arrival, we will visit the Terrera Ventura interpretation centre to learn about an ancient civilization that inhabited the desert 3,000 years ago. Next, we will proceed to the castle of Tabernas, an 11th-century Arab fortress offering panoramic views of the Sierra de Los Filabres mountain range and the Tabernas Desert.

We'll explore the desert landscape and learn about its origins and international fame since the 1960s as a filming location for many iconic old western movies. Following this, we will embark on a walking tour of the historic center of Tabernas, admiring the homes and buildings like the Church of San Sebastián and the Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation.

We will then head to Fort Bravo, a western-style theme park, also known as Texas Hollywood. Participants will have 4 hours of free time to explore the park, enjoy performances such as cowboy duels and cancan dancers, and take a horse cart tour of the Mexican village or the Native American camp. There will also be time to eat at themed restaurants.

To end the excursion, we will return to the bus and head back to the starting point, completing a total duration of 6 hours.
