Hell's Gate Guided Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance of Hell's Gate Geothermal Reserve and begin a guided tour of Rotorua's most important geothermal park. We'll share facts about this area while we explore powerful geysers and thermal pools. Waterfalls, flora, and tropical birds can be seen at Hell's Gate. The park features the largest active mud volcano in New Zealand and the largest hot waterfall in the southern hemisphere. After an hour of touring Hell's Gate, we'll conclude the tour by returning to the starting point.

Hours

Hell's Gate offers only two guided tours per day: at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. If you cannot attend at these times, you will need to take the tour on your own.
