Lake Rotoiti Kayak Tour + Geothermal Pools

Description

At the scheduled time, go to the boat ramp on Otaramarae Road for the departure of the day tour. Located next to Lake Rotorua, Lake Rotoiti is the focus of this adventure. After introductions, participants will kayak through scenic landscapes.

Throughout the tour, paddlers will pass cascading bush and view Kiwi baches lining the cliffs and coves around the lake. The tour includes insights into the myths and legends of the Maori people linked to the area.

The group will continue paddling around the peaceful lake, observing its rich native birdlife. One highlight will be entering the glow worm cave, offering a unique experience.

Next, the tour will proceed to the Manupirua Hot Pools, accessible only by water. Participants can relax in the natural geothermal pools while enjoying the surroundings.

After approximately 3 hours, the kayaking tour of Lake Rotoiti will conclude back at the meeting point.
