If you're in Lapland, don't miss out on this incredible safari through the forests of Rovaniemi, where you'll see moose, Europe's largest wild animal.

Moose Safari

After picking you up from your hotel in Rovaniemi between 7 and 9 pm, we'll board a vehicle and travel towards the lush forests surrounding the city. On the way, we will observe traffic signs warning about the moose on the loose. Finland is home to approximately 100,000 moose, the largest wild animals in Europe, weighing up to 700 kilos and standing up to 7 ft tall. The activity takes place late afternoon, the best time to see these mammals as they are most active at sunrise and sunset.

The tour concludes with a traditional snack from Laponia, including ginger biscuits and a hot drink. After a duration of three and a half hours, we'll return to your hotel in Rovaniemi.

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels within a radius of 15 km (9.3 miles) from the centre of Rovaniemi. If your hotel is located in the city center, we'll meet you at Maakuntakatu 29, Rovaniemi 96200. The time of the activity is approximate and varies according to season and availability. After booking, we'll confirm the exact time.

Moose Sightings

Moose inhabit the areas we will visit, but sightings during the excursion are not guaranteed. We will access areas where they are most commonly found, and with some luck, we may see some.
