Photography Tour Details
Experience the Aurora Borealis on a photography tour, capturing memories of one of the world's most stunning natural phenomena. A must-do activity in Rovaniemi involves watching the colorful illuminations in the night sky. Don’t forget your camera!
You will be picked up from your hotel in Rovaniemi between 8 and 10 pm and taken 25 miles (40 km) from the city into the snow-capped forests of Finland, the ideal location for viewing the Northern Lights.
Under the illuminated night sky, you will explore different views while a professional photographer shares tips on capturing the Aurora Borealis. The photographer will also take pictures throughout the evening, sending them to you afterward as mementos. At the conclusion of the tour, enjoy a barbecue dinner featuring reindeer sausage, marshmallows, and blueberry tea around a campfire while listening to local tales, enhancing the night's magical atmosphere. Afterward, you will be returned to your hotel in Rovaniemi.

Keep in mind that the visibility of the Aurora Borealis cannot be guaranteed. During the tour, you will receive tips on capturing the northern sky's colors with your camera. Remember to bring your camera!

The tour starts between 8 pm and 10 pm. The local tour provider will confirm your exact pickup time. Hotel pickups are included for accommodations within a 9-mile (15-km) radius of Rovaniemi city center. If your accommodation is in the center, proceed to the office at Maakuntakatu 29.
