Snowshoeing & Ice Fishing
Your journey begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Rovaniemi at the scheduled time as we set off towards the Lappish wilderness. Are you prepared to partake in two quintessential activities native to this area of Finland?
Upon arriving at our chosen site, we will commence a snowshoe hike. As we navigate through snow-laden pine and fir forests, you'll be surrounded by breathtaking white landscapes. The path will guide us to a serene, frozen lake.
Once we reach the lakeside, along with relishing the stunning views of the Arctic Circle, we will engage in a captivating ice fishing session. This will include a brief instruction on essential techniques of this age-old fishing method. We’ll proceed to drill a hole in the ice and drop our lines in. The key now is to just wait for the fish to bite.
While we fish, our guide will ignite a bonfire where we can enjoy a tasty barbecue-style meal featuring Finnish sausages and warm beverages. An ideal way to recharge and bask in the warmth!
Following our delightful experience, we will return to your accommodation in Rovaniemi approximately 4 hours later.
Hotel Pickup
The pickup service is available for hotels situated in the heart of Rovaniemi. If your accommodation is not listed among the pickup options provided during the booking, you may choose pickup from the Sunny Safari offices, located at Tähtikuja 1, Rovaniemi 96930.
