Beautiful landscapes and charming medieval villages await us on this excursion to Grožnjan and Oprtalj, two of the most beautiful villages on the Istrian peninsula.
Tour of Grožnjan & Oprtalj
At 8:30 am, we'll depart from Rovinj heading towards the Istrian hinterland. This Croatian peninsula is known for its medieval villages.
The journey includes driving through green hills, olive groves, and vineyards. The first stop will be in the town of Grožnjan, recognized as "the little town of artists", which hosts 28 workshops, an art gallery, a summer film school, and a jazz festival.
We will explore the historic center of Grožnjan before continuing to the valley of the Mirna River. Here, we will visit the village of Oprtalj, featuring preserved Venetian architecture.
After Oprtalj, we will stop at a typical Croatian tavern to taste Istrian products, which vary by season. Guests can opt to have lunch at this location.
The tour concludes with our return to the pickup point in Rovinj, scheduled for 3:30 pm.
