7-Day Tour of Rwanda

Day 1: Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali airport, you will be welcomed and escorted to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Nyanza and Nyungwe Forest

After breakfast, we will drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, with a stop at Nyanza to visit the King's Palace Museum. In Nyungwe, we will check into the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest

We will start early to search for chimpanzees after breakfast, walking through tea plantations in the Nyungwe rainforest to observe various monkeys and native wildlife. The rest of the day is free for relaxation until dinner.

Day 4: Lake Kivu

Following breakfast, we will visit the Uwinka Visitor Center for a trekking route across hanging bridges. After lunch, we’ll transfer to Lake Kivu, arriving at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Kivu - Kibuye

The morning will involve a boat ride on Lake Kivu, visiting Kibuye. Afternoon activities include observing local wildlife before transferring to our hotel in Volcanoes National Park.

Day 6: Musanze

We will depart at dawn for Musanze, learning about gorilla protection efforts in Volcanoes National Park. You will get close to the gorillas and observe their behavior. After lunch at the hotel, we will visit the Gorilla Guardian village.

Day 7: Volcanoes National Park, Twin Lakes, and Kigali

The final day includes seeing golden monkeys in the park, followed by a canoe ride at the twin lakes Ruhondo and Burera. We will return to Kigali in the late afternoon for airport transfer or hotel check-in.

The tour includes 6 nights of full board accommodation in 3 and 4-star hotels:
Kigali (1 night): Hotel 2000,
Nyungwe (2 nights): Nyungwe Eagle Nest,
Lake Kivu (1 night): Rwiza Lodge,
Volcanoes National Park (2 nights): Indani Volcanoes Resident.
