Yacuma Pampas 3 Day Trip

Amazingly more than half of Bolivia's territory is Amazon rainforest. Discover it for yourself with this 3-day circuit through the Pampas del Yacuma from Rurrenabaque.

Description

Day 1

In the morning, we will meet up in Rurrenabaque and depart for Santa Rosa de Yacuma. During the journey by 4x4 vehicle, we may encounter local wildlife including anteaters, sloths, and toucans. At noon, we will board a boat across the Yacuma River to our lodging, where we will enjoy Bolivian gastronomy.

In the afternoon, we will explore the area and meet local wildlife, including capuchin monkeys. We will visit a panoramic viewpoint for a sunset over the Pampas del Yacuma. After dinner, we will embark on a night boat ride to observe nocturnal wildlife, including alligators.

Day 2

We will rise early for breakfast before sailing on the Yacuma River. On the boat, we will see various animals inhabiting the Pampas, including capybaras, alligators, turtles, monkeys, exotic birds, and river dolphins. After returning to the eco-lodge for lunch and rest, weather permitting, we will return to swim with dolphins.

In the evening, we'll have dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 3

We will wake before dawn to witness the sunrise over the Pampas del Yacuma. After breakfast, we will explore the area, listening to the jungle awakening and observing anacondas. After the hike, we will return to the Ecolodge for lunch and then head back to Rurrenabaque, arriving mid-afternoon.
