Yacuma Pampas 3 Day Trip

Amazingly more than half of Bolivia's territory is Amazon rainforest. Discover it for yourself with this 3-day circuit through the Pampas del Yacuma from Rurrenabaque.

Description

Day 1

In the morning, we will meet in Rurrenabaque before departing for Santa Rosa de Yacuma. During the 4x4 vehicle journey, we will observe local wildlife, including anteaters, sloths, and toucans.

At noon, we will board a boat to cross the Yacuma River to our lodging, where we will enjoy Bolivian gastronomy. In the afternoon, we will explore the surroundings and meet local wildlife, such as capuchin monkeys. Later, we will visit a viewpoint for sunset over the Pampas del Yacuma.

After dinner, we will take a night boat ride on the Yacuma to observe nocturnal wildlife, such as alligators.

Day 2

We will rise early for breakfast before setting sail on the Yacuma River. We will see various animals, including capybaras, alligators, lizards, turtles, monkeys, birds, and river dolphins.

After returning to the eco-lodge for lunch and rest, we will return to the Yacuma River to swim with dolphins, weather permitting. In the evening, we will have dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 3

We will wake before dawn to enjoy the sunrise over Pampas del Yacuma.

After breakfast, we will explore the area, listening to the jungle's sounds and observing anacondas. After hiking, we will return to the Ecolodge for lunch and pack before heading to Rurrenabaque, arriving in mid-afternoon.
