Los Haitises National Park Kayak Tour

At your preferred time, we'll meet at Puerto Caño Hondo in Los Haitises National Park. Once all participants have arrived, we'll hop into our kayaks and start exploring the tropical scenery as we row through the Caño Hondo River.

We'll glide through areas with red and white mangroves and see the tall ceiba, mahogany, and grandleaf seagrape trees along the banks. While kayaking, you may hear the birdsong of pelicans, owls, and kingbirds endemic to this location.

Afterwards, we'll head into San Lorenzo Bay, where we may see dolphins and manatees. Keep an eye out for mogotes filled with unique flora. We'll also visit both Arena and Linea Cave to see petroglyphs left by the indigenous Taino people.

After 4 hours, we'll return to the starting point and conclude our tour.

Upgrade your experience for more! Join the same kayak tour as described above, followed by an approximately 2-hour hike through the lush tropical rainforest of Los Haitises National Park.

During the hike, you'll discover local flora and fauna, learn about the ecosystem's importance, and enjoy the natural environment of the park.

After 6 hours, we will return to the meeting point.
