Los Haitises National Park Kayak Tour

At your preferred time, we'll meet at Puerto Caño Hondo in the Los Haitises National Park. Once we've all arrived, we'll hop into our kayaks and start exploring the tropical scenery as we row through the Caño Hondo River.

We'll glide through areas with red and white mangroves and see the tall ceiba, mahogany and grandleaf seagrape trees along the banks. Pay attention for the birdsong of pelicans, owls, kingbirds and other species endemic to this area.

Afterwards, we'll head out into San Lorenzo Bay, where sightings of dolphins and manatees are possible. Keep an eye out for the mogotes filled with flora unique to this location. We'll also visit Arena and Linea Cave to see petroglyphs left by the Taino people.

Following 4 hours of exploration, we'll return to the starting point and conclude our tour.

During the approximately 2-hour hike, we'll traverse the lush tropical rainforest of Los Haitises National Park. Along the way, you'll discover the local flora and fauna, learn about the ecosystem's importance, and enjoy the park's natural environment.

After 6 hours, we'll return to the meeting point.
