Row through the Dominican rainforest and discover its beautiful hidden treasures on our Los Haitises National Park Kayak Tour. You'll see different species of flora and fauna and have a great time doing a fun water sport.

Los Haitises National Park Kayak Tour

At your preferred time, we'll meet at Puerto Caño Hondo in the Los Haitises National Park. Once we've all arrived, we'll hop into our kayaks and start exploring the tropical scenery as we row through the Caño Hondo River.

We'll glide through spots with red and white mangroves and see the tall ceiba, mahogany, and grandleaf seagrape trees along the banks. Listen for the birdsong of pelicans, owls, kingbirds and other endemic species.

Afterwards, we'll head into San Lorenzo Bay, where we may see dolphins and manatees. We will also visit Arena and Linea Cave to see the petroglyphs left by the indigenous Taino people.

After 4 hours of exploration, we'll return to the starting point.

6-hour Tour

Upgrade your experience to include a hike after the kayak tour. The approximately 2-hour hike will take you through the lush rainforest of Los Haitises National Park, where you'll discover local flora and fauna and learn about this ecosystem's importance.

After around 6 hours, we'll return to the meeting point.
