Do you know about the historical region of Terras de Trás-os-Montes? On this trip to Lamego, we'll visit one of the most outstanding cities in this northern Portuguese region.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and make our way towards Lamego. Upon arrival, we'll embark on a walking tour of Lamego's historic centre to discover its best monuments. We'll start by admiring the façade of Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral, a notable gothic temple located in the town centre.

Next, we'll stroll through the narrow medieval streets to the Igreja de Santa Maria de Almacave, known for being the meeting place for the Cortes of Lamego. Afterwards, we'll continue to the Castle of Lamego, where we'll learn about the history of this medieval bastion.

Following this, we'll visit the emblematic Santuário de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios to admire its 18th-century rococo architecture. Finally, we'll head to a wine bar for a glass of sparkling wine from Lamego (juice for those under age). We will return to your hotel, arriving 4 hours after pickup.
